The newly developed SC3 technology enabled Cree to improve the most popular LEDs and release highly efficient XLamp® XP-E2 LEDs. With the same cost and power consumption new XP-E2 LEDs produce up to 128 lumens per watt at 350 mA, 85°C or 143 lumens per watt at 350mA, 25°C in cool white (6000K). This noticeable boost in output and efficacy will definitely affect the lighting products industry and enable the designers of lighting solutions to decrease the costs and increase the efficiency of their products.
For the flashlight industry such improvements open new horizons in production and encourage the producers to develop and construct new products that meet all the customers' requirements and expectations.
