Green filters are used mostly in hunting and tactics. Green light doesn't frighten animals and its beam can't be seen from aside so it makes impossible to disclose your location.

bought this green filter together with the viking pro warm. it has a nice dark green tint to it probably due to the warm tint from the source. my guess is it will be a brighter green if the flashlight uses cool white. anyway, i prefer this. i wont look like a party in the dark.
accidentally dropped the flashlight a while ago about 4ft in height with this fitted on and it is still OK. build quality is good. while it maybe hard to fit on the head of the flashlight, this gives me assurance that it will not fall or detach during use.
my suggestion is to also have a glow in the dark diffuser so that the flashlight can be used as a signaling device (like for traffic)
Thank you very much for your feedback!
